Emily is an educator and a therapist, a white settler residing on the territory of the Secwepemc people, a cisgender ally to the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and a mother of four. She is pleased to offer remote telephone and video counselling outside of traditional working hours to clients across British Columbia. With degrees in Psychology, Education, and Counselling. 

 

Emily has spent the past 22 years working with youth and their families, as well as community support agencies. Since receiving registration as a Clinical Counsellor in 2013, Emily has provided therapy to clients of all ages, addressing a range of issues from minor stresses to complex trauma and mental illness using theories of attachment, acceptance commitment therapy, and CBT. Your concerns are always valid; with an open mind and an open heart, Emily creates an environment where clients feel safe enough to communicate their concerns without fear of judgement or scrutiny. She uses a collaborative and gentle approach to help you identify and work through the things that are keeping you from a healthy and fulfilling life. Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) and FNHA clients are welcome.
